 Agneepath Scheme for Military Recruitment: The Union Cabinet took a historic decision approving an attractive recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces for which a scheme has been introduced with the name AGNEEPATH. The youth selected under the Agneepath scheme will be categorised as Agniveers. The Armed Forces will be recruiting 46,000 Agniveers this year through this scheme. With the announcement of this Agnipath Scheme, a window of opportunity has been opened for the youths to serve their nation for a period of 4 years. Indian Airforce Benefits of Agniveer

(Agnipath) Scheme 2022
  1. Indian young people whose age is between 5 to 23 yearscan apply in this Indian Army Agneepath Agniveer scheme 2022-23.
  2. Agneepath will allow youth to serve in the Indian Army for a period of four years.
  3. The candidates who become Agniveer will get 10%reservation in recruitment in Assam Rifles after 4 years.
  4. Uttar Pradesh / Madhya Pradesh and other states will also give preferenceto Agniveer in police department recruitment.
  5. LIC (LIfe Insurance) :Army Agniveers will be provided life insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs for the duration of their engagement period as Agniveers in the Indian Army.
  6. Army Agniveer Leave: Annual : 30 Days, Sick Leave. Medical advice based.
